Growing up, my parents watched a lot of war movies. My mom was interested in military history due to what happened to her family in WWII.

That being said, I have no interest in military history. None.

Yet I can look at Iran, notice its topography, and conclude that a nation surrounded by mountains has natural defenses and will be extremely difficult to conquer.

But I guess that doesn't matter to Israel, since it is not IDF soldiers that would be part of a ground war there. I'm not really sure why this doesn't matter to the US government.

Thanks for this thoughtful piece, Alex. I suspect Trump either willingly or under duress served as a Trojan horse to help transfer the world order from Pax Americana to Pax Judaica, looting it as it goes down.

I recommend you consider the work of E Michael Jones, specifically about his view that usury creates 80 year periods that end in collapse and often war. His book _Barren Metal_ makes the case. The solution is to go back to the moral law which outlawed usury as theft and due to its failure to reflect the fact that labor is the source of all value. We have the capitalist view of economics and the communist retort to that view, but the Catholic solution is a healthier one that offers a humane way out, unlike either communism or capitalism. Is this part of the reason Catholicism is vilified and the Church slandered and attacked so relentlessly?

Consider this idea. Those who run the empire and the forever wars are also making war on the Christian West. They are attacking our culture, our beliefs, rewriting our history and teaching people of European descent to hate their culture, their ancestors and themselves. This is clearly what happens to conquered people, but it is also a means to conquer a people. Our Catholic heritage is an important part of what allowed our civilization to flourish, so if we belittle it and trivialize the wisdom that our ancestors worked to preserve and transmit to us, will we be better able to stand up to those who want to enslave us or less? I say less. Look at the satanic values promoted in nearly every movie, tv show and song in mainstream media. The messages encourage sleeping around, abortion, drug use, divorce... hedonism and nihilism. These values are leading to a failure to reproduce as a civilization. These values are making people weak, dependent on drugs, and self-absorbed. Catholicism makes people work to exhibit sacrificial love, to overcome vices which St. Augustine rightly warned enslave us, build and support healthy, stable families, and value truth which is a protection against corruption. No matter what belief system we have, we will always be tempted and have human failing, but a belief system that is meant to make us and our families and communities healthy is obviously going to serve a lot better than one that promotes atomization, narcissism and hedonism. Anyhow, to me this is a spiritual war and if we in the West leave our best spiritual weapons to the side, we will be enslaved and our labor and resources will continue to be used to harm us and others. St. Michael, protect us in battle.
