Shocking how autocratic the EU bureaucracy has become, but this doesn't come as a huge surprise to those of us (majorities in FR and NL) who voted in referendums *against* the EU constitution in 2005, only to see that incorrect outcome ignored (the constitution was renamed the Lisbon Treaty and adopted without public consultation a year or two later). Nor does it come as a surprise to those of us saw how the EU treated Greece in 2014. Truth is, the EU is not just undemocratic, it is profoundly and actively ANTI-democratic. Like you say, it's just a question of time....
