I really don’t know. Tipping points are treacherous to predict. Some days I think it will be soon and other days I believe as you do. James Stockton, a very interesting character who suffered brutally as a prisoner of war in Vietnam lived to tell the tale and went on to write and run as Ross Perot’s running mate.
He wrote that those who survived their imprisonment had a deep faith that they could and would survive with no time frame. I suspect they sort of lived outside of a time frame. Those who believed they would be freed by a certain date or event like Christmas or next June would perish when that time passed. Its been a long time coming, the inexorable grinding vandalization and looting of our infrastructure, from school systems to road maintenance to air travel and more. Being shut down here in Tennessee, it became pretty obvious we can't even clear the roads. The Post Office did not deliver the mail for over a week. According to MMT taxes don't fund anything. Taxes are liabilities paid to cancel tax demands, which are assets = zero balance (double entry bookkeeping how ALL 'money' is created as debt (see 'Debt the first 5000 years D Graeber)
MMT would thus say that any taxes the government collects would NOT create "a steady stream of tax revenue from which to pay the interest on all of the bond debt."

Its been a long time coming, the inexorable grinding vandalization and looting of our infrastructure, from school systems to road maintenance to air travel and more. Being shut down here in Tennessee, it became pretty obvious we can't even clear the roads. The Post Office did not deliver the mail for over a week. The grinding down of that institution is a great example. They forced their carriers to use their own vehicles, P.O. was no longer responsible for insurance, maintenance or liabilities so carriers were unwilling to risk all that in the snow. Last time the P.O. replaced an old worn out American flag with one half the size which looks ridiculous on the massive relic flag pole. My mail delivery was apparently affected by DEI results too. They employed a custodian that performed cleaning and maintenance that included shoveling the back lot. He had passed on however and was replaced by a woman who was unable or unwilling. They were immobilized all week by a frozen parking lot. And during this sorry week, the price for shipping a small fixed rate box went up 40 cents. It was also a week where I was paying my taxes at the courthouse while the parking places around the downtown for businesses were unplowed. The collapse is palpable now.

The first step in returning “Power to the People” is by taking back control over the money supply and instituting a National Bank with a National Credit System.
“THEIR” Central Bank/Federal Reserve System was created with the simple scam trickery of deluding “We the People” into thinking that our government needs to borrow other people’s money in order to buy the products that the government consumes and pay for the services that the government provides.

THE SOLUTION:

According to MMT taxes don't fund anything. Taxes are liabilities paid to cancel tax demands, which are assets = zero balance (double entry bookkeeping how ALL 'money' is created as debt (see 'Debt the first 5000 years D Graeber)
MMT would thus say that any taxes the government collects would NOT create "a steady stream of tax revenue from which to pay the interest on all of the bond debt."
According to MMT and indeed the central banks themselves, and others who have studies how banks work and double entry bookkeeping taxes are not “paying” for anything: instead new money is created routinely every time government makes a payment. Taxes are primarily an income / wealth distribution mechanism. This means that whatever 'balance' a government has at any one time is irrelevant.
For example a tax demand is a brand new asset created by government, balanced by a liability once the tax has been paid, and both sides of the balance sheet cancel out to zero: the basic working principal of double entry bookkeeping the fundamental way all private, public and central banks work globally, which was Rothschild's and all the other banksters' insight, that you don't need savers to fund spending.

True, all money is created from debt.
The argument is, “Who owns the debt?”
The Central Bank/Federal Reserve System was created such that “other” people own the debt by owning Treasury Bonds that “We the People” then pay interest to. That interest is recorded as National Interest on the Debt.
My proposal is that “We the People” should own the debt through a National Bank that is a subsidiary of the Treasury Department (not owned by the Federal Reserve System!).
The Nation’s money supply is increased by the National Bank issuing loans “out of thin Air” and not by today’s Treasury Department/Federal Reserve issuing bonds “out of thin air.”
The Nation’s money supply is decreased by collection of interest on the loans, loan repayment, and collection of taxes.
My proposal eliminates all personal and business income taxes, and just imposes taxes on consumption, property, and tariffs.
Control of the money supply is what determines prosperity or austerity by controlling the inflation rate.
