Peter, you are of course correct. But I have often wondered if Mackinder is the real reason for these attacks upon Russia. Or a fig leaf to hide their psychopathic hatred? (The existence of which is undeniable since it has been unashamedly indulged in and displayed to the world in the form of their disgusting enthusiasm for the genocide of Gaza.)
Their nastiness towards the Slavs goes back to at least the time of the Byzantine Empire when they were the main traders in Slav(e)s. And that could post date the destruction of the Kharzarian Empire which well may have been what motivated such hatred.

Kissinger was also involved with the Mackinder Paper and was apparently in agreement with it as well as promoting it. I believe the Russians and the Chinese are obviously aware of the importance of the "Heartland" and are actively engaged in trying to make it happen.
I find it more and more difficult to really get to the truth of it all. We have been lied to for so long what is the real truth of anything any more ?
I very much appreciate Alex's postings and can hardly wait for his next one. My wife and I only read about 4 - 5 what we belive are truthful Podcasts/updates that can be veryfied.
